Infrastructure
When planning for a better future, it is important to focus on infrastructure that works for everyone. Having a well connected city makes Taylor better for all residents, and to do this, we need to build a city focused on all means of transportation. We need to build more sidewalks. We need to build shelters for our bus stops, as no one should be forced to sit in the rain or snow in order to get to their job. We have the ability to plan out cycling lanes for quick and efficient travel within the city. Korey wants to start a commission to explore a Taylor public transit option, that focuses on getting residents to all the key points in our city.
Internet access should be a right for all Taylor citizens. If elected, Korey will work with the city to explore publicly owned and operated internet service options. This will ensure every family in Taylor has the tools they need to supplement their education. This will give every residents more access to city government information from the comfort of their homes. A public option will also force private internet service providers to compete, which will create a more competitive market. Not every citizen in Taylor has internet access, and we need to change that.
